I keep dropping hints about moving to the states. Using the "it's cheaper than here" line (which a lot of the USA is...the UK is so damn expensive!!!). But in reality it's so we can save money on the mortgage which I can spend on a Harley. HAHAHAHA
I've seen a hat on fleebay, which has a split across the width of its inner leather sweatband. The stitching along it's top edge (joining it to the felt) is unbroken. Should this be a cause for concern?

I steamed just the front and back brims (to lower them into more of an aussie outback style). I made sure to hold it for no more than 5secs at the very furthest from the steam (just before it disappears into the air) so...

Are the techniques for reshaping the brim and crease on a wool/fur Fedora the same as a fur one? I've been researching steaming and bashing on the net, and they all show fur hats being converted.
So, I'm wondering if I should use the same methods on my wool/fur crushable?
