I keep dropping hints about moving to the states. Using the "it's cheaper than here" line (which a lot of the USA is...the UK is so damn expensive!!!). But in reality it's so we can save money on the mortgage which I can spend on a Harley. HAHAHAHA- dragonaxe

presumably the sweatband's only function is as it's name implies. It has no structural purposes I'm assuming? -

I've seen a hat on fleebay, which has a split across the width of its inner leather sweatband. The stitching along it's top edge (joining it to the felt) is unbroken. Should this be a cause for concern? cheers -

Reshaping a wool Fedora
Thanks for the advice guys. I couldn't help but have a go anyway :rolleyes: I steamed just the front and back brims (to lower them into more of an aussie outback style). I made sure to hold it for no more than 5secs at the very furthest from the steam (just before it disappears into the air) so... -

Reshaping a wool Fedora
Hi folks Are the techniques for reshaping the brim and crease on a wool/fur Fedora the same as a fur one? I've been researching steaming and bashing on the net, and they all show fur hats being converted. So, I'm wondering if I should use the same methods on my wool/fur crushable? cheers
