Welcome to the lounge, Luxman. You're gonna like it here, and you're gonna love your new VS custom. Just got my first last week and it is fffffaaaaannnnnttttttaaaaaasssssttttttiiiiiicccccc!
You can also turn the inside out and dampen it with water then heat it with a blow dryer then let it dry naturally. Be careful not to overheat it. If the hat is only half a size too big, I would say do half the sweat and see how it does. You can dampen and heat the other half later if you need to.
I was not aware. Cuban cigars are illegal in the US since 1963. I presume that anything shipped into the US from another country would be subject to customs inspection and, therefore, yes, there is a definite chance of getting caught. A friend of mine tried to bring some Cuban cigars back from...
I have three butane torches from this website:

I have returned one for service and received it back repaired quite promptly. The torches are excellent for lighting cigars, and I presume would work well for pipes as well.
Heck, I would have liked that. But no, the Mrs. roped me into shopping with her for clothes. You know that routine dont you? Look at all of them, try on most of them, put most of those back, buy one or two things, move to the next store, repeat. :rage:
Tinder Box is a chain, and I agree that they are pricey. But I always like to see what's there when I get close to the place. It is a good place to go to buy singles when you want to try new things. And it gives me an excuse to escape shopping for a while. lol
This afternoon I was compelled to take the Mrs. shopping for new clothes. The saving grace of the trip was that there is a Tinder Box in the mall we went to. I visited there and found two cigars I hadn't tried before, an Ashton Aged Madura corona and a Fuente Hemingway classic. I smoked the...
We're flying, but any hat that has gone with me on a plane stays on my head or in my lap for the entire trip. I was thinking that it will be cold when we leave here, and a felt would be nice to have for the trip there and the trip home. I'd love to take the Sportaire, but the overheads probably...
I am definitely ready to go. I don't usually take felts with me, but this time it might be this one that makes the trip. It'll be nice and breezy.
When we went in July, this one went along, but even it got a little warm.
Lots of fine looking hats today, gentlemen.
Sharp, as always, Alan.
Torpedo, that one looks great on you and goes well with your attire today.
Jimmy and Rusty, impeccable. Both of you look so at home in all of your hats.
D'man, another nice find. I don't even know of any places close to me...
Another nice one, Rusty. How many of the Major's hats do you have? We need to start a hall of fame thread for Mike. I think all of these custom hatters should have their work showcased here....they are becoming fewer and farther between all the time.
Thanks, carter. It's like a differeent hat altogether. And here's the cool part. At the time I had done no business with Art at all. He agreed to take my hat because it was a Panama Bob hat. Now, I have done business with him and he has made me a work of Art, the first he's made for me, but not...
I wish I could wear felts all year round. I prefer them by far, but it's way too hot and humid here in the summer.
Thanks, Karl. I feel better knowing I'm not alone.
