Thanks for posting those, Bill. it's so much easier to judge the appearance of a hat when it's displayed where it's meant to be. I like both colors and your's look great.
I'm glad I ordered this one.
Thanks, G MAN. That does help, and it looks good on you. I like the casual look of this hat. It fits the bill very well with that leather jacket. And that cutie pie you're holding there compliments everything. :)
I had looked at the Banjo a while back and decided not to get one, but with prices...
Thanks for posting those Banjo pics, Bill. I appreciate seeing them. I ordered a heritage fawn Banjo, but the only pictures I've seen are the ones posted on various Akubra retailers' websites. It's always helpful to see pics of the hat in the wild, if you know what I mean. is it possible you...
Beautiful, Larry. I just love those wide brim bindings. Dark moss is on my list, as is midnight blue and natural. Every time is see another of Art's hats here my list grows by another color. I need to quit looking! :eusa_doh:
The price I quoted above is a bit less than the current price, but I believe that is because the Australian dollar has come back a bit.
I have ordered previously from Sam Menche at Everything Australian and have had no problems with him or his hats other than the wait time, but that isn't...
I ordered mine from Everything Australian:

Mine was $75.29 US plus $13.60 shipping or $88.89 total. There was one hitch though. They were out of my size when I ordered and said it would be 4 weeks before they could ship the hat. I...
Mr. NonEntity, since you have a Banjo and since I have one ordered, is it possible that you would be willing to post some pictures of yours, particulary the crown? The pictures I have seen were on Hatsdirect.com and Everything Australian's website, and those are not very informative. I like the...
I think binding the brim of that hat would really set if off, SOAP. I think brim bindings give any hat a finished look. I have two Fed Deluxes I am thinking of sending to Optimo to have the brims bound.
I agree. That Palerider is definitely a gun slinger's hat, but I sure do like it. Perhaps you are right, a bit more conservative beginning is probably the key. I would love to add a vintage OR to my collection...it's a classic, and most of the posts I read don't speak too favorably of the new...
Thanks, Mr. P. I bought this hat from the friend of a lounge member (thanks Steve and Jon), and it came to me with an open crown. As I began to fiddle with it the crown went to the cattleman's crease very easily, even dry. I'm sure it had been creased that way before, and I couldn't bring myself...
