Mr. Portolan, I'd like the looks of Hat #2 but maybe with some side dents to give it a cattleman's crease and maybe in a little different color. Silverbelly or Indycop's butternut color would be good choices for you...my two cents.
Very nice, Ken. That front brim is working out good for you, I see. I like that color...tauny fawn, I presume. Man, Ken, that color could convince me to order another one if I keep looking at it. Will you put up a picture of your diamond for us, please?
Something like that happened to me on Tuesday. A gentleman came to my counter to pick up a prescription wearing an olive color sort of western looking/sort of urban looking hat with a brown leather band. I was too busy to take a minute to speak with him, but I made comment to one on my...
Sharp looking hat, IC. It's good to have friends to watch out for you, ain't it? I like the bash in that hat, and I like the idea of leaving vintage hats the way they come...kind of lets them tell their own story, ya know?
Nice find, Rusty, and a cool gesture to think of IC.
I'm looking...
That looks GOOD, IC. I like the bash and the ridge. It just seems to me like the right thing to leave these old hats the way they come and let them tell their story.
Nice find, Rusty, and a good price, I hear. If you run across one in my size, keep me in mind, ok? :D
I'd second Colby's suggestion of contacting Major Moore. He might already have something ready to go that he could tweak to your specs. I'd definitely recommend Art too, but I don't doubt that Christmas is out of the question for him.
That is rather amazing, Aerol, especially these days. The vast majority of people I meet today say nothing or, occasionally, make some Indiana Jones comment that I ignore. I hope you tipped the lady well.
I don't have that hand raising one , so I guess I don't belong to the club either. But you and Gene and I belong to the Up S Creek Without a Paddle Club.
