I probably never posted on this originally because I'm opposed to the term "mancave".
I have a room that I keep my computer, which happens to be the same room I keep all my books as well as reloading equipment. My gf goes in there and bugs me all the time. [huh]
Does anyone know where I can purchase a number of hat liners (silk/rayon/etc.)? Generic is fine, but I'll take any brand if they're available.
I can't seem to find anything serious online.
I will be removing the ribbon and liner from some hats, blocking and cleaning and then replacing...
So you mean WWII, right? You're first post mentioned WWI as well.
I don't think the Nazi party was formed until the late '20s, if memory serves me. In those early days, they were nothing more than crackpot drunks locked away in the backrooms of pubs. Not much to worry about. ;)

Hate to repeat but...
Which ballpark under $200?
$50-90?
$95-150?
$150-200?
$10-30?
You could always try some of the low-end Florsheims with rubber soles. Or I imagine Stacy Adams makes a wingtip that's under $100. Johnston Murphy's are probably under $200. Just about...
Honestly, sounds like 40W33L, but that would be hard to imagine if you're only 5'7". 33 inseam on a guy that's 5'7" would look like Ed Grimley.
On the other hand, a difference of 7" (40-33) is excessive to have been previously altered. I was under the impression that trousers, even good ones...
Great advice! :arated:
When you receive your measurements from the tailor, make sure to WRITE THEM DOWN! Things like shoulder width, jacket waist, jacket inseam, etc. all seem easy to remember, but when you're on eBay or at a thrift shop, those numbers could save you alot of time and money...
Coincidentally, my local news station posted blogish story today that is relevant to this discussion. I typically don't read these fluff article (and I wish they'd get rid of them) but seeing as it was in line with what we were discussing, I browsed over it.
5 Reasons Not To Go To...
Please forgive me if this is a silly question; I promise I'm not trying to waste space.
I may be in line to acquire a Cavanagh hat that's either NOS or at least in very, very good condition, size 7 1/4 or maybe 7 (can't recall at the moment), brim about 1 3/4 or 2", silk liner and (if my...
Okay, all research is complete, a bibliography has been created, and about 17pages of outline are ready to post. I've looked into hosting the finished product, but I couldn't find anything viable, so I'll paste directly to the lounge.
I'm going to open a new thread (tonight or within the near...
I think a blue gray fedora would be fine with a blue jacket. Pictures would help, but keep in mind that gray is a simple color that goes with nearly everything. It's like the Eggshell of living room paint. lol
Precisely why it's not who you are, so much as who you know.
I'm sure many of you have seen this in your own workplace.
Gotta trim the fat; who's next? The senior lead who's been around for 35 years, knows everything better than the books, who's literally invaluable? Yeah, she mysteriously...
I swear that if I had $120, I would purchase this today, right now. Unfortunately, I am light this month and next. :(
I would even go as far as to make some kind of offer, had I a reasonable amount to send!
