This was a good day. Two hats arrived while I was at work. This one came from the bay. That's why it looks a little wet. ;)
The teardrop is the result of my trying to follow JtL's tutorial except that I used water instead of steam. I feel more comfortable that way.
did anyone snag this Borso? I was in on it, but not enough in.

Well, thanks, gents. :) I bought it pretty reasonably but I've got $100 in it at Optimo so I'm gonna wear it.
I like the Homberg on you too, GWD. Your features lend well to a narrow brim, plus we're used to seeing you in them. That one is a great brown color, and the wide ribbon and brim...
I'm surprised that you say that.
I really almost threw this hat in the trash, but I hated to. So I sent it off. Kim tried it on and it fit her pretty well, so I was going to have it cleaned for her to wear. Of course, Optimo recommended a full refurb, and I really thought the hat needed it...
I picked this Stetson 25 mode edge up on the bay a few weeks ago. It was listed as a 7 1/4, but when I received it it was way too small and in pretty sad and dirty condition.
I shipped it off to Optimo for a complete refurb and resize and got this back.
It's the...
There ain't a better guy in the United States than Mike Moore. And you're going to LIKE the hat he sends you.
Welcome to the lounge, JP. You're going to like it here.
I'd suggest you wear the hat for a while first. Give it a good sweat or three and maybe expose it to some rain or a spray bottle. That will help it conform to your head and it will soften the felt a bunch.
I got an e-mail today from the e-bay seller. I should have a Whippet in my hands by Wednesday. It won't be green but it will be a Whippet!
That one's a beauty, Jim.
The new Penman looks really nice, NB. Looks like it has a nice wide brim binding. What are the specs on that one and how would you compare it to your VS customs?
There's a nice looking couple. IC, the Campdraft looks great with the gray and blue, and Dee, your Buckaroo was made for your outfit today. Happy Easter!
Yea, it's different than any of the other grays I have too. It's darker and bluer. I have a granite from Art, a moonstone Fed Dlx IV (that you've held in you hands), and a lighter gray Adam and most recently a blue gray Stratoliner. Each is quite a bit different from the others.
Soon I'll have...
There are a few of us who have actually seen the creasemeister at work. And a couple of us have actual lids that the master has worked his magic on for us.
Thanks, Jim. :eusa_clap :eusa_clap :eusa_clap :eusa_clap :eusa_clap
