Well, hopefully it will be a nice gray Borso. I thought I got a quite good buy assuming it's a nice hat. This will be my second Borsalino, the first being an Alessandria. I've been looking for a more traditional gray Borso to add to my clan. I'll be keeping my fingers crossed that this is it.
That one will be joining my little hat family. I hope it really is gray as the description said, but it looks brown on my monitor. If it's as nice as it appears to be either color will do.
Just within the last month I sent a Borso Alesandria that was clearly labelled a 7 1/4 to Optimo for a resize because it was quite snug when I received it.
I'm going to have to give this one another shot when I can sit down and enjoy it. I was grilling while I smoked it, and the rain was coming so I was in too much of a hurry to finish the smoke and get the steaks off before I got a bath (and a bath is what I would have gotten). It started out...
That's a good idea, Gene, or the blue painter's tape. The one I asked most recently seemed to be offended that I asked her to recheck her measurement even though her stated circumference didn't fit with the clearly pictured size tag.
My natural milan finally showed up from Miller Hats today. The brim needs a little work, and it's stiff as a board. I ordered an extra burgundy pug for it thinking I would get a plain brown one on the hat, but the one that came on the hat looks pretty darn good.
There couldn't be a better place to post today's hat than under a picture of the creasemeister himself. TonyB made this hat for me in February, and at the time we talked about what crease we wanted. We talked about a teardrop but decided to leave the hat with Tony's center dent, and I would...
I recently read somewhere here about sellers' ability to measure hat circumference correctly. Recently, I've asked two sellers to measure circumference, one for a size 7 1/4 and one for a size 7 3/8. Both measured at 22 inches, which would not be correct for either size. What has your experience...
Very nice, Feraud. I too find myself more and more favoring the narrower brim, tall crown look.
What kind of brim treatment does you new Resistol have?
Got my yard work done yesterday, so today has been kick back day.
Stetson Stratoliner, Ashton Heritage robusto, and the last drop of my Dalmore cigar malt. The shirt is a Royal Robbins from Freeport.
