Thanks, Gene. I've got this one and two late model (60's) Open Roads that still have cattleman creases. I just don't have the heart to change those old hats to what I want them to be. I still haven't hit pay dirt on an older Open Road yet, but when I do, the two I have will go up for sale.
I don't know that I've seen a thin ribbon optimo before, but I like it, especially with that shirt. There ought to be a palm tree near you somewhere.
I always thought I wouldn't like an optimo crease, but seeing yours and after holding John's in my hands I'm changing my mind. That one looks...
We decided to have dinner at Texas Roadhouse tonight, so I thought a Texas style hat was in order. I chose my Resistol San Antonio. The only other head covering I saw in the place was a New York Yankees baseball cap.
Nice looking hat, but somehow I knew that already. I'm glad to see it on your head since I've seen it on so many others. :D

It's the natural color with a...
I didn't do nothin' to it, Tom. [angel] You saw me just holding it and admiring it. I figured if I put in on I might disappear like that rabbit I saw once in a magic show.
lol lol lol lol I read Tom's post on the previous page, asked to see daylight pics, then read the last page. I deleted my post hoping no one had read it yet, but I see you're on the ball this morning.
You know how margaritas are....they go down so easy and they contain tequila.
My pics of IC"s cav hat turned out dark. They're too dark to tell anything about it, but I bet he gets some up soon. I can tell you it's a very sharp looking hat.
I suggest you start with Rusty. He was there first. :D
You know ho hard it is to be around a hat shop and not touch a few hats, or touch all of them. :o
:D What can I say? It never hurst to stay on the chief's good side. And you just can't beat a teardrop.
Thanks, Rusty. It was great to see you again. We had a great time.
