I spoke with the owner on the phone and he apologized for their poor delivery. He explained that they had a suicide there only a month and a half ago, and the fellow who dealt with me is a prison guard during the day so he's pretty edgy. The owner was very nice and told me that when I come back...
Sian, I'm pretty sure there's a fair amount of fake nail talk in the Vintage Manicures thread.
I love them. I think they look great if done properly. Acrylics are strong and polish doesn't chip on them (you can hold a nice polish job for a week or more!), but quite expensive and difficult to...
:offtopic: All I could think when I read the title "Scandinavian Leather" was "TURBONEGRO!" I bet no one here knows what I'm talking about.
Now back to your regularly scheduled programming.
Why wouldn't just changing the location of your sections work? I know when I curl my hair, my sections are never in exactly the same place.
Also, you will not get as good of a curl if you don't have the hair wrapped tightly around the roller. You will find this info in any cosmetology book.
Only once have I run into someone whose Lounge-membership I questioned. This was at Bobby From Boston's warehouse one day while I was up there working and he came in to dig around for stuff. His appearance was quite dapper.
I have run into Loungers randomly who I had previously met. I ran into...
The kind you're using are called pillow rollers. I also use them and think they're the best. Are you sure there's actually a problem? Unless you're sectioning your hair in the exact same spots every time, I just don't see how this is possible. If for some reason you are sectioning it the same...

"Hooping generally refers to artistic movement and dancing with a hoop (or hoops) used as a prop or dance partner. Hoops can be made of metal, wood or plastic. Hooping combines technical moves and tricks with freestyle or...
I just don't really see it. I mean, people in really hard financial times are going to choose a $2 PBR when they go out and not a $7 Old Fashioned. Probably the same for home consumption - compare the cost of a case of cheap beer to that of a nice bottle of bourbon.
I don't really think it has that much to do with being "shallow". In every era, our society has general standards and the fact of the matter is that most people ascribe to those standards in some way, a phenomenon that I think can be attributed to the fact that deep down, everyone just wants to...
:eusa_clap
I also think that, while there were several actresses with contrasting body types back then, for the most part, they still fit into a couple of very narrow categories that incorporated most of Hollywood - either they were quite slim and svelte, or they were curvy yet still slim by...
