    Back to zits

Blackheads are notoriously stubborn. You're doing the right thing now, but any other options are a bit more drastic. Getting facials (with extractions) will remove them temporarily, as will...popping them yourself. (Sorry if that's gross.) Accutane may solve the problem but that's extremely...

    Bra pains.

I like the idea about loosening or tightening the straps....but for a cheap fix, you could try putting bandaids on the places that rub (on the bra, not on you). Or, maybe try some non-underwire bras?

    Ladies Scarves

Princess Elizabeth was married in....I believe 1947 said a website I found. Cool! And another is "Sally Gee" who is collectible as well, but not particlarly valuable. Same seems to be true for "Glentey."

    Ladies Scarves

Another Freecycle Motherlode I just got about 50 scarves from Freecycle, all appear vintage so far. I'm curious about one with a sea anemone (!) pattern marked Brooke Cadwallader. Google indicates she's collectible. Anyone? More brands... Continuing through, I've come across a Vera (heard...

    The ones that got away

I really loved this suit but it had some stretched out elastic, and $50 was too much anyway, for me. But...look at the atomic pattern!

    Bashing other's Bashes ???

Um...well, being an Indie nutter is a lot like being a trekkie. Whether it is thus idiocy is a value judgment that each of us must make.

    Keeping Cool: Fans and Parasols

That's what I was thinking - maybe put them in a shadow box. I was wondering how I could clean them / get them cleaned, since they've quite obviously been sitting in a basement or attic for years.

    Graduate School Wardrobe

A friend of mine at school - editor in chief of the law review, actually - tends to wear sweater vests over shirts and slacks. Anyway, the clothing only gets attention for a week or so, until people get used to it. I suspect, if you plain and simple aren't going to wear jeans or anything...

    Keeping Cool: Fans and Parasols

Thanks! I love the Java Peacock one too. Unfortunately both the water buffalo horn fans are damaged so I could never use them, but they are incredibly intricate. I can't believe someone just GAVE THEM AWAY FOR FREE!!

    Graduate School Wardrobe

Well, I'm in law school, and generally everyone dresses in very casually. There are some of us who dress nicely every day - it's certainly not just me. I initially got comments (Why are you dressed up, You look very ladylike, etc) but those stopped once I just kept on dressing the same way...
