    White Bucks

Detroit? Where are you staying in Detroit? I think I might know who you are. Anyhow, we never get hit with customs unless you ship through the regular post office. Even then it's pretty rare.

    Modified Military Bag

Just wondering if anyone else out there has done this? I took what appears to be a ammo bag of some sort and added a strap to it to make a messenger type bag:

    The Rise in Pants

That's a general statement that doesn't hold true for all 501's. Levi's changed the rise on these jeans without rhyme or reason, so some have a high, low or normal rise. It also depends on the shape of your body. If you have a short waist and skinny rear end, a low rise probably wouldn't look...

    Reproduction classic workwear

On some of the 1920's railroad jackets, they have the watch pocket with a pen holder on the left. That's fairly practical I think. This modern one is probably purely aesthetic.

It's neat, but it'll never fit like the model and the pockets would definitely look odd in real life!

    Depression Era clothing: Cinderella Man?

Drove through there many times on the way home to Dundalk (more so before the freeway). My wife's family is from Ireland.

    New L.L. Bean "Signature" Line

Are you saying the entire line was designed by the guy from RG? I sure don't see any of their signature tees on there.

I think I'm about chin-strapped to the gills....would still like to find an original Big Yank or Oxhide brand one though.

I'm not seeing a Rogues Gallery line on the LL Bean site?

    Reproduction classic workwear

Yeah, well back then it was made mostly in the US still and probably a little more worth the price. I can't see paying $700 for a jacket that cost them less than $20 to make. They have no advertising costs to cover because they just don't make an effort to market RRL really. So why so much? I...

I have to tell you, that RRL stuff looks great but it's cheap crap made in China. I've owned a few pieces and they don't have the staying power. The prices are too high too. If you can't get it at an outlet for cheap, I'd go for it. Otherwise I'd steer clear.
