My grandfather brought this home from his service in Italy in 1944. Does anyone know what it says? I tried a bunch of online translators, but that didn't help at all!!
Yeah, I'm looking forward to stationary shopping, too! I haven't in such a long time... :D Oh...and a fountain pen! I'll just *have* to get one...darn.
I might even splurge on monogrammed paper and envelopes.
oh, yes! letters! real letters!
before i actually figured out how to work email (circa 1998), i had a million pen pals all over the world! my favorite was a girl in Ireland who was like me...longwinded and wordy. lol our letters could go on for pages and pages, back and front. i literally...
ha! we could be twins. twins in dorkery. lol lol
i also am trying to modify my speech to that of my grandma! it seems full and melodic...soft...and just interesting to listen to. comparing it to the standard accent most folks have adopted these days is like comparing soda without the fizz...
forgotten man and flivver - thank you both!
i will definately post again for help. it sounds like adapting it myself would be fairly easy to do...and for a cheaper price, yes please!!
now to wait for payday... hehe

and i am proud to drink apple kool aid. it goes down well. :p
anthony, what a beautiful (and lucky!) find!!! as one currently in the market for a new old couch and armchair set like yours, i am exceedingly jealous!! :p lol
and the curtains are lovely, too. :D
great advice, flivver! thank you! are these phones fairly easy to fit with a modern jack? i mean, for someone like me who doesn't know the first thing about how to do it...if it means being able to save $125 to have a working phone, then i'll do it!
