Not sure if it counts as a "movie", but I just watched "Long Way Round".
Ewan MacGregor and Charlie Berman ride "the loang way round" the world, crossing Europe, Asia and North America.
Interesting stuff, especially the parts in rural Russia, Kazahkstan and Mongolia.
They still work great.

I do a half hitch after buckling. Not sure how to describe it but tuck the running end (the loose part) under the belt (from the bottom) a few inches past the buckle and then up and over the fixed belt between that few inches and the belt itself so it points downward.

We went from close to 20 below to the mid 40's a few days ago.
We are having flooding as the iced over creeks overflow.
Chinook winds and higher temps aren't unusual in january but this spread of temps has been huge.
Fairbanks went from 60 below to similar high temps.
