Agh, I hear ya!
I just bought a really cute repro blouse on sale when I was in Portland, but the neckline goes right down to the cleavage! I bought it because I liked the print, but what's the point of that if everyone who sees you in it (without a cami) won't be looking at it?
Ahhh, I want a tarantula now!!
I can probably just catch one where I live. Fall is "tarantula season" in the foothills of the Sandias, where my parents live. They always run across the street while I'm driving...I've been known to pull over and scoop them up off the road. They're very docile!
"Kaeti" is a decidedly un-vintage title. [huh]
...But it's an adaptation of "Katie," which means "pure and virginal." Katie was pretty popular in the 1900's, and then its popularity began to dwindle before making a comeback in the 1970's.
My middle name really has history.
It is "Rose,"...
So many!
+ Martial arts. My heart is in Kenpo Karate...not so much the system as the dojo itself, and the sensei is a GENIUS. He lied about his age to become a prison guard at age seventeen, and has an incredibly impressive history in the martial arts, yet he's one of the most humble and...
Geez, I wish the rodents in my house were that easy to catch! I swear, these desert mice and rats are highly evolved creatures...seriously.
When we used the humane no-kill traps, they figured out how to escape from them. Then we tried the sticky ones...those are terrible!! The rodents get...
Honey is also high in antioxidants...ever wonder why it'll stay in your pantry for years without going bad? Sugar is an exfoliant, too. I love putting honey on my skin, but you've got to watch out -- it melts with your body heat, so keep a towel handy.
I don't trust Proactiv. Sure, benzoyl...
That's horrible!! Poor thing...there are definitely many situations in which pest control of a more harsh kind is necessary.
I had a friend whose pet gecko was basically eaten alive by mites.
Luckily, the only pet-related bug problem I've had with any of my dogs was this weird grub thing...
I am SUCH a weirdo when it comes to bugs.
First of all, I've always had this absolutely ridiculous fear of houseflies! I have no idea why. When one lands on me, I freak out and I feel really dirty, like I need a shower. I think it has more to do with flies in my HOUSE than flies in...
Here's a quick ink doodle I did when I was bored in class a while back...excuse the angst; I was going through a very rough patch.
Here's a collage that was ruined when my sketchbook got wet. I swear that monkey did have a hand!!
This is old, and very simple. I still like it...
These are amazing! Thanks for sharing.
I'm lusting over a midcentury modern lamp at a store in Portland that's reasonably priced, but I don't have the means to get it home, unfortunately. :(
Topical solutions always help, but I think the most important thing is DIET...start from the inside, right? Choose a diet rich in antioxidants, protein, good fats and tons of fruits and vegetables.
The best skin foods are berries, nuts, flax seed and olive oils, fish (if you eat it...)...
Pest control:
Sprinkle a line of boric acid around the edges of your pantry to help keep bugs (roaches included) out.
Mice hate peppermint. Spray diluted peppermint oil in areas of concern.
