I agree with the other guys. My bet is they did it that way on purpose, so that as you wear it and the cotton shrinks and takes up, the lining won't pull the jacket out of shape over time.
Hats off to you guys. And like you say, hats off to this site. What your talking about is just a symptom of our increasingly intolerant world. The gracious and tolerant milieu of this place is very refreshing and something of a respite from a society gone quite mad.
Not to put too fine a point on it waffle, English is a generalized term for Virginia-Latakia blends. Once you get a taste for Latakia, pipe weed ain't pipe weed without it.
Matt, I haven't read this entire thread, but it's certainly not just you. I find the current "cowboy" hat looks like de riguer for Rexall Rangers. They look about as good as the new bull rider's outfit of padded vest and crash helmet. (No slur to bull riders intended)
The ones I like, and the...
Real beauties, Nick. I quite admire calabash's. Last time I tried to quit I gave away my whole collection and a nice 'bash was in there.:eusa_doh: They sure smoke nice, and they've got to be the coolest looking pipes out there.
BTW waffle, if you get a cob I would like to hear your thoughts on...
Well it seems you CAN teach an old dog new tricks. I was in a tack shop down in the big city a week ago and bought, on a whim, a Mexican-made straw western for the princely sum of $25.
After a long soak, I popped out the crown and turned down the 4" brim. When it dried I used a dark orange...
Cheers, waffle.
Several years ago I bought a couple of estates and the guy threw in a couple of cobs. I just ignored them until yesterday, when I tried a few bowls and did some reading on these nicely plebeian smoking machines. You would not believe how cool and dry they smoke. I also found a...
Sorry Old Man, no can do. I have neither a digital camera nor the expertise to run one.
I love that bent bulldog, I mean love it. If you ever want to sell/trade it please pm me first.
I'm also envious of your Corona, have wanted one for a coon's age, but always seem to find other things...
Or misogyny.
The man is an utter boor, and I am now incapable of watching any of his movies lest I fall ill. Too bad, because he's done some nice work, and I did particularly enjoy that film.
Boycott of one at this point.
Personally, I'd rather be lost in any wilderness of B.C. than in any big city in the world. On me at all times is a knife, a lighter and a compass. After fifty years of stomping about the wild places of North America I'm still here.
Seems to me if you're so terrified of the bush that you...
Watched the 'Bridges at...' last nite. You're right darn good old time flick. Lots of these jackets there, looked great. I also just noticed yesterday that my jacket has USN punched in the wind flap. As it's 95 out right now it may be a few days before I can wear it, but it at least gives me...
