My poor grandmother had to move into an assisted living facility awhile back. They rented out her house, so they had to clean it out a bit. So, I brought home grandma's sewing kit. Behold...

no kidding!! i was in tears for most of it. lol i found it very useful for a possible quick study on the era.
fun fact: there is one scene where mrs. hilton meets...what's her name...mrs. hawkins? at the bar for the first time and they walking through the corridor while camera follows, picking...
Since I can't find the power cord for my record player :( I've been listening to the 1920's "radio station" on iTunes. Great music! Every once in while they play some bongo-heavy tunes from, what sounds like, the 50's or 60's...but most of the time it sounds like I'm listening to some records...
Since You Went Away (1944) w/ Claudette Colbert.
LONG movie. Made me cry in some parts. But, my word, it was one huge propaganda flick. I don't know much about the intentions of the film, but the sappy patriotic tones it sometimes took on were almost too much. I liked how they took a little...

nope. but my friends are nice enough to endure my eccentricities. outside of them, i find it hard to meet new people in real life, much less GOOD LOOKING vintage people. i have too many social phobias to feel comfortable right away in a new group, and i'm too fat for the time being to be...
