A breakdown of Fedora Loungers by sex, location, age and marital status

Male 23 - That'll change in December single Black Hills, SD - They might as well be considered one place since it takes so long to get anywhere you're going out here and I don't live in a town. -Allen

Adventure! Fedora Lounge Folks in Action!

Scuffy, Yeah, I was working at the Pig Dig. It was a lot of fun and I'd do it again, but they only let the students work there and I'm not a student anymore. I don't know exactly what's going on towards the Res and Stronghold Table... all I know is that tensions are still pretty high. -Allen

    The Adventurer's Gear Thread

Does anyone know where to find cartridge-holding-suspenders like Val Kilmer wears in the movie 'The Ghost and the Darkness'. I've tried to scour the internet and have come up empty. -Allen

Adventure! Fedora Lounge Folks in Action!

Mojave Jack, in his original post, mentioned something about the Badlands of South Dakota. I worked there on a paleo dig a few years ago and got to take a lot of photographs. Here are a (very) few of them. I'm particularly proud of this one: Enjoy, -Allen

The Day The Earth Stood Still (2008)

It looks pretty good, but it'd be better if it wasn't a remake. I'm gettin kinda tired of hollywood remakes, personally. -Allen

Response to M.K. on journals Here is my travel journal. I haven't used it in a while since I don't have time (or money) to travel. It's a leatherbound journal made by your's truly. I think it's held up pretty well for my first try at something this complicated. -Allen

Atlanta Cutlery WWII uniforms & gear?

I have one of their .45 holsters. It's a repro made in India, but for what I use if for I have no complaints about it. It was a bit tight first then it formed to my gun after a while. Not the greatest but it works... hope this helps. -Allen

    Vampiria dead at 86

I second that Doh!. The closest thing I remember to Vampira on TV growing up was Joe Bob Briggs Monstervision on TNT. May she rest in peace. -Allen

    Sad Story...

My dad used to have one, but he sold it before I was born. I wish he hadn't. I've been keeping an eye out for one to restore for a few years now. Good luck to you. -Allen

Channel 974 ... on Dish Network. It's entitled "Swing Kings", formerly "Big Band". I'm actually surprised its the only one out of about 100 music channels. -Allen

Does anyone have an Akubra Bogart?

While slightly off topic, pardon me, how does the Akubra Bogart compare the the Jaxon Bogart? More specifically, a gray Jaxon Bogart to a gray Akubra. I recall reading other, more 'dedicated' posts, but none seem to compare the shades of gray to each other, unless I've just been searching...

    Show us your Guns!

I'm not wanting to sound ignorant by saying all Springfield 1911's aren't accurate out of the box (aside from machining), so I won't, I'll just say that mine wasn't all too accurate on its own. I had to move the rear sight far to the left for it to be able to shoot where I was pointing the...

    The Adventurer's Gear Thread

I've recently been reading Marie by H.R.Haggard and it seems like some of those events in Story's post about Bell might have been used by Haggard as a part of Allan Quatermain's life. If this is not the case, it is quite an interesting similarity. Now my interest is piqued and I shall have to...
