    MEN of the LOUNGE

ok, so I searched the archives and I couldn't find a "children of the lounge" thread. And since people are posting pics of their kids here, I'm joining the bandwagon. This is my ,then, 2 month old son Conrad. He's now 3 months. This is at a WW2 reenactment/living history in his 40's baby jumper...

    Show us your hair do's....

ok, so this isn't my hair, but....I would love to have my hair look like this. Very dressy 30's or early 40's. I was just looking at this new movie trailer with Nicole Kidman in it. Look at her hair when she is at the long dinner table. So cute. Seems easy to recreate. Too bad I don't look like...

Where did your user name come from??

My username is my middle name. My mum had a friend in high school named Leaette (pronounced: Lee- ette). She just liked it. It's very uncommon so I use it for a lot of forums and login names because chances are...noone is using it. Plus it sounds so French! If my next child is a girl, I...

    Sewing Systems

In a semi-recent issue of "Country Living Magazine" they did a spread on craft rooms. The one lady had an old china cabinet (I'm guessing from the 20's or 30's). Painted all white. She used the top part with the "french doors" and glass panels to store all her fabrics so you could see the pretty...

help needed with big model shoot

I don't know if this is possible with hot rollers/sticks, but my aunt is a beautician. and we were talking about perms and how to get that perfect S wave. she said they were taught to use a smaller roller for the first part of the perm. and then after that was all done, you re-roll your hair in...

    Besame cosmetics

the containers are VERY shallow. it wont fit change. mabye some pills...that's a good idea. but probably only one dose of a pill that is small in size. if it's a big pill, it won't fit. they are just so pretty. there is even a mirror inside. i'd really hate to throw this away.

Do you save those cute round containers that blush or eyeshadow come in? I just used up my blush. But I would hate to throw away the container, it's so darn cute. If you save it, what do you use it for?

does it feel a little creepy wearing a dead person's clothing?

well...better to wear it and enjoy it than to sit in a landfill. my parent's elderly neighbor threw away all her brother's WW2 uniforms and gear a few years back because "who would want that old stuff?" I almost cried!
