I too only smoke on special occasions, or even when it suits the outfit. I'd hate to let cigarettes control me. I find it so disturbing seeing people pale and shaking for a cigarette.
When I'm in my little "vintage world" and cooking, I sometimes enjoy having swing music on and smoking. I...
I'm bringing this topic up again for any of those concerned about vintage lady bits removal. Some of you asked if they ever did it, well going right back to the 1700s prostitutes used to shave everything off their lady bits to prevent lice, they then put a merkin on to hide the baldness...
Even though it's now considered somewhat a taboo subject to talk about female body hair, I am interested in exactly which body hair was removed in the 20 through 50s and the techniques. Does anyone know the answer to this? If any of you ladies don't mind sharing, do you comply with vintage hair...

I'm new here and have been a part-time vintage dresser for about 2 years now. I'm currently moving into full-time vintage dressing, money and wardrobe permitting.
I was really just wondering how people react to the way you all dress and...
Good evening everyone,
I'm so glad I've been able to join this forum. It's so lovely so be able to discuss subjects with like-minded individuals. I'm into 1940s more than other eras, but I do have some early fifties style clothes. I'm currently in the process of re-hashing my wardrobe to...
