Awesome letterman jacket. For leather nicks and scratches I use a homemade conditioner made of beeswax, lanolin, almond oil, castor oil & coconut oil. It's a similar mixture that Horween would use to actually vegetable tan the leather, minus the beef tallows and bark extract (and other goodies)...
Thanks for the positive comments on the jacket. TFL was the main source for advice on style and fit measurements, so I'm a lucky beneficiary of everyone's work. Loving the jacket.
This imperfection wouldn't bother me personally. There are similar instances of holes that look like the machinist backed out of on my jacket as well. In fact they did so symmetrically on two separate parts of the jacket which lead me to believe it was done to match. I find it fascinating. Hope...
Longtime watcher of the forum, so I'm pleased to present my fit pic featuring a Brown CXL FQHH Highwayman I purchased secondhand. With a 40" chest and 29" waist I went with size 38, however it's the slimmest I've ever seen at 21.25" p2p.
