One of the sites linked from this page offers larger sizes, but not in vintage styles that I could see. It's a lovely site anyway. Thanks for posting the link! :)
One of my favourites right now - it's so happy and energetic! :)
I like the version by the Wiggles best! :p Whatever else you might think of children's entertainers, those guys are very clever musicians.
HOOP-DEE-DOO
(Frank Loesser / Milton De Lugg)
Perry Como & The Fontane...
Get going Zeus! I don't want to talk about unmentionables in front of you boys!

Anyway, can anyone point me in the direction of a foundation-maker that stocks girdles bigger than a D-cup? I've googled and googled, and there's plenty of good corsetieres out there, but they only stock...
When I was younger, a Dutch couple gave my brother and I some puppets. I think they dated from the '50s, and they looked like ones I'd seen in some Hans Christian Anderson story movies of that era. They had grotesque (i.e. over-emphasised "Punch & Judy" type) faces and cotton "sack" bodies...
You could always try the old standby - hobnails. They keep your soles from wearing out as fast, but you will 'click' as you walk down the street. :) As my mother told me from her childhood, you can also hoon downhill on a bicycle dragging your feet and get sparks out the back. :p
I don't...
I have that by Lil Green, who was a singer/songwriter and partner of Big Bill Broonzy. I believe that version is circa. 1941, and it was written by Kansas Joe McCoy. :)
I don't know about fur quality, but the rabbits from China are (AFAAIK) commercially farmed (and I shudder to think about their production methods and "quality control"). Rabbits in Australia (and New Zealand) are an introduced pest. I'm not sure how much damage they do in Aussie, but here in...
Wolf, I love Louis Jordan! :) Especially:
You're My Meat
Outside in and inside out,
You're my meat,
Ah, you're fat and forty,
But, lordy, you're my meat!
From your feet to your head you knock me dead,
You're my meat!
I got you covered,
But baby, you're my meat!
In the...
Ah, you had me all confused there. :)
Ah, now, I've been avoiding them on purpose. ;)
I'm in a political and ideological minority on this list, so debating would be an uphill climb - one I don't have time for at this time of year. :) Maybe later, after end-of-semester exams.
The money issue isn't really in relation to tuition fees and so on; it's living costs that differ radically from place to place - Dunedin is very cheap, Auckland is very expensive, the others range between. (Apart from Wellington, the further south you go, the cheaper the costs.)
Not every...
Are you meaning university-level?
I can't speak for Australia... But NZ has five main universities, and lots of polytechnics, private training establisments, etc... I'm not sure that 'techs etc. offer study-abroad programmes.
As for recommending a university, it depends on what you want...
I used to starch cuffs and collars (ladies don't need to look so crisp) but it ruined my iron. Drycleaning is expensive here, and besides, it's hideous on the environment. [angel] ;)
I figure, if my cousins in the army, police, and fire service can get knife-edge creases with just an...
Yes, you certainly don't see scenes anymore like the one in The Big Sleep, where Marlowe meets the book shop girl (of course she must work with books if she's wearing glasses!) and he asks if she must wear her glasses before he shows any interest in her. Then she does that classic "sexy...
Wouldn't it be nice if someone would pass this on to the English soccer team? :) Especially that awful Beckham boy. (If he wants to wear lavalavas and makeup on his off-hours, more power to him. But when he's wearing team colours, it looks more like attention-grabbing than a fashion...
One of my favourites, by Cootie Williams & His Orchestra (also later by Joe Jackson, Diana Krall, and B. B. King):
Is You Is Or Is You Ain't My Baby
I got a gal that's always late
Every time we have a date
But I love her
Yes I love her
I'm gonna walk right up to her gate
And see if...
