using the nurse/doctor thought, you might be not seeing that doctors make way more than nurses, so perhaps parents are just trying to get their children into the better paying job....

wolverines are nice, but thin of the ones I looked at. Plus some are made in china, some are made in the US. All rangers are made in the US I think...

In all honestly, public schools main job is to prepare children for the workforce. The smarter kids can go on to higher learning, but the majority of them are taught how to listen, follow orders and how to read.
I agree it's the parents job or even the kids job to learn how to live day...

Not all schools have abandoned Home Economics. Many still teach it. It's where I learned to sew.
