Getting in late today. Very nice array of hats all around. That's really a rare one, Alan.
Strat for me as I take another ride on the N. E. Florida weather roller coaster.

Thanks, I think you're right. On the Dating stetson crest thread Dinerman gives a comment about having logos mixed on hats. That thread is confusing for me to follow however, I think stars on the liner would be an older, 1948 ?, liner with a newer Leaf sweat more early 50s.
So, I'm going...
Whippet dating question. I have been wading through Whippet and Stetson dating threads and can't find the specific answer. I'm sure it's around here somewhere but I haven't found it.
Can a Whippet date be somewhat narrowed down by having stars in the crest and "Whippet" on the liner with a...
Hey guys...just popping in.. Another great hat day on the Lounge.
Thanks for all the comments and compliments this week. It was fun getting out some hats that don't get a lot of head time.
Good looking Hanover, GD.
DJH, setting the bar high today.
Joao Wow 5" , What's the over all...
Thanks Manfred and Steve. Never had a Habig thinking about trying this one out.
Any input on what kind of quality I could expect from this hat? What American brand would match up?

I will try to post a photo in a round about way. [/IMG]
Thanks for the compliments on the Derby, Hatguy. If I gotta go may as well make an impression. Decided to do the opposite of the usual hoodies, football jerseys, t-shirts and ball caps preferred in my area. Ummm, not that there's anything wrong with that.... [huh]
Humorous anecdote; As...

I don't have the hat in hand or sufficient photos. But it's the same size tag and appears to be the same liner logo. Does have a black sweatband if that matters.
Not even sure if it's wool or fur felt but it doesn't state wool on the hat.
I v'e never had one or handled one.
Hat size question. P & C Habig made in Austria with size tag 6 3/4. Would this be a U.S. 6 3/4 or U.S. 6 7/8?
Gold square tag with black numbers and rounded corners. Any help in dating?
Thanks for the Stetson comments. Coming from you guys it is appreciated.
The sun kinda washed out the brim stitching. But, after last week I'm not complaining about any sunshine. It's my widest brim felt hat at 2 3/4".
Looking at this assortment of fine looking hats.....how can anyone not...
