Matei I wonder if those cowboy comments are more due to your geographic area? Folks in your parts almost never see a hat like that whereas in the western US, though more rare, you do. Sounds more like ignorance. They probably think we still have wild indians toolol
My friends are going on some boat cruise that stops in Panama and my friend is figuring he can get a Panama hat. I have to wonder whether any to be found there are indiginous or are imported from Ecuador.[huh]
I only support the 3 strikes law to the extent that common sense must be used to decide the outcome of each on an individual basis. There have been examples where misdemeanors were counted as the 3rd violation and it compounded the sentence to an abnormally long one. Shoplifting a $12 item...
Oscar- my own 2¢ here. As per your Jack Webb look- sideburns. That's the 1st thing I noticed on your photo that were conspicuously missing. All I can speak for is the 50s when I grew up is that everybody had side burns of varying size.
Don't blame 18 year olds cause plenty of "adults" base their voting on physical appearance too and always have. "Well he/she just looks so honest." lol lol lol
I have no idea how long it's been on but I'm sure a pretty short time, but the original Untouchables with Robert Stack is on at 8PM on channel 56 in Los Angeles. Just caught an early episode last nite.
BTW- its followed by Alfred Hitchcock's shows:)
Well in 1960 the Daley cronies were actually endicted and went to jail. No endictments were brought in Florida so technically no crime was commited:) I guess that means the the republican crooks were craftier than the democratic crooks on those comparable occassions.lol Ah, the tangled webs...:o
Hey Andy my Dad was in law enforcement much of his life so I always identify with this type of scenario. I simply feel we've gone way past the benefit-of-the-doubt leniency days. We have proved that does NOT work yet continue to ride down that path. All the bleeding hearts are convinced...
Hmm? I've always interpreted it as being something solid, reliable and dependable and not complex for the sake of being complex. But that's just my definition to myself and I'm sure everyone has a different picture when they hear the phrase.
John Wayne:cool2:
You scored 57% Tough, 14% Roguish, 9% Friendly, and 19% Charming!
You, my friend, are a man's man, the original true grit, one tough talking, swaggering son of a bitch. You're not a bad guy, on the contrary, you're the ultimate good guy, but you're one tough character...
Hmm? I'll have to keep this for the future. I'm constantly wondering about or looking for things I recalled or historical stuff from specific dates.:eusa_clap
And we know that then shadowy Mayor Daley in Chicago had close associates that were sentenced for election fixing in the 1960 presidential race. The dead literally rose and voted for Kennedy.lol lol lol
