I have amassed a small collection of bullet bras while trying to find a good fit and now I'm selling the ones that didn't fit me. They are all deadstock and unworn apart from me trying them on once. I'll sell them to lovely FL ladies for £5 plus postage to anywhere in the world.
They are as...
I watched The Quiet Man last weekend - I love Maureen O'Hara's hair in it...
I watched Pleasantville for the first time last night - what great production design, really spot on.
NOT just you - it does the same to me. Maybe it just depends on your skin type - mine is a little dry. I can't recommend Estee Lauder Aeromatte highly enough however. Not cheap at about £21 but I got a refill for £4 on ebay.
I got my Lily Lolo samples today and I like the coverage but I am finding it a little drying which highlights my wrinkles unfortunately. I know jitterbug doll mentioned mixing it with a little moisturiser - should I make a paste with it? Also, does applying it with a wet sponge rather than a dry...
Awesome beaded cardi and I'm a sucker for those prints on skirts!
ohairas - if you mean the brooch it's a little wooden leaping gazelle!
vintage betty - what, are you crazy?!!! Anyway, I'm just photogenic... bit of a moose in real life ;)
They are always really helpful if you email them - I'm sure they would sell you a pair that way. There's quite a few bits that they have in the shop that aren't online.
I'll second that recommendation! But go to her shop - she has tons more stuff than is on her website - particularly great for pencil skirts and trousers. She's quite pricey but it's good quality.
Thank you ladies one and all. I'm SO going to have to keep them I think. I just love them too much and they are so comfy and cosy for this time of year too. I can picture Rita Hayworth in them and she never looked too little-girly or cutesy in anything now did she?!
By the way, the overalls...
Ok, I have just returned from Vivien of Holloway where I splurged £85 on a pencil skirt and some rosie the riveter-style overalls. Now, here is my dilemma... I LOVE the overalls and I think they quite suit me (certainly better than I had hoped - I thought I was a bit too lanky to pull them...
Don't worry - I won't be hunting you down ;)
I am just glad it went to someone who will really appreciate it - it's SO beautiful. Please please post pics of you wearing it, I'd love to see. Also, that polkadot dress is just the cutest thing ever!
Look at these babies that arrived from canada this morning:
As you can see they are THE most perfect snug fit, but due to the lack of lycra I am unable to sit down in them! Heehee! I'm hoping the cotton will 'give' a little if I wear them in a bit.
So today I've got a day off and I'm just about to head off to Vivien of Holloway but the wind and rain are beyond belief today so I thought I should show you my hair before it's ruined!
..and I also wanted to show you this monstrosity:
That is my hair in its natural, unfettered...
