You could also use a large crochet piece rather than a full cloth that would hang down. That is think was very common. My Grandmother used them in her living room for as long as I can remember.

Finally here is the gown I made for my step daughter's prom. It is a new pattern but definitly has a vintage 50's feel. I will have to post a pic again when she has it on as you can't see the shape of it too well on the hanger.
I haven't used the eye cream yet but I swear by Olay in general. :eusa_clap Wonderful products at a good price. Not the cheapest at the drugstore but better than department store prices.
I could care less if WM does away with it's fabrics. Their quaily is just terrible. Cottons are thin and the weaves are too loose, prints are dull. I much rather pay a bit more at Hancock or Hobby Lobby. And if I need something special I can't find in town,the internet is the best source.

I started working on a prom gown for my step-daughter after Christmas. It's a modern pattern but has a vintage feel with plenty of tulle!!:D I will post pics when I'm done.
