One of those fun "Hat Moments" (compliments of/to Art)

Nice work, Jon. I called Meyer in December, their "guy" retired, they no longer work on old hats. :(

    JPDesign now selling vintage hats

I saw those. His prices on new customs are not bad at all, either.

    CHECK OUT THIS!

Same here. Mrs RedPop still says I look retarded, or like a little old man. But at work, now, there's a different story. I can't take credit on the whole, but me and the university press officer have the president and other officiants of the university wearing fedoras.

    Men who can cook.

I enjoy cooking and baking. MrsRedPop and I use the same basic techniques on certain dishes, red beans, red gravy and meatballs, so we can help each other if need be. If people are over, I will ask questions and advice, but do it myself. I don't mind if they wipe or wash, but don't want them...

I'm really digging the Dunhill Nightcap and Ashton Artisan.

What are your first hat memories?

I remember everyone around me wearing hats, mostly caps, though. My grandfather however wore a cloth fedora in the winter and a straw in the summer.

For the smokers in the lounge

I've been bitten by the pipe bug, recently. I had acquired a couple pipes, a tool, some cleaners and some 'backy in a trade over at Cigar Weekly a couple years ago. My buddy and I have started smoking pipes in the last month, and we're really enjoying ourselves. I've heard that Stanwells and...

    What Are You Reading

    Listening to music

Yes, to all your questions. Although, I don't get that deep into Classical, and I don't listen to today's pop.

    Where are you going tonight

January 8th is the anniversary of the Battle Of New Orleans, at the end (really after it ended) of the War of 1812, which was one of this nation's most important battles in history. A defeat for the well entrenched British military might of the day, it firmly established the U. S. as a military...

    College Football!

Alas......LSU had processed 42,000 requests for Rose Bowl tickets, too. They were really trying to show the Tournament, and everyone else, that Tiger fans follow their team.

I like them all, but since I play the organ the most, I chose it.

    Children?

Lizzie, even the richest of the rich many times don't believe they have enough to do justice to children. We can never "afford it." I believe, however, that God provides, especially for those who enter into parenthood looking to do right by and for their children. That means more than just...
