:eusa_clap As an American Expat in the UK, prezzies is one of those British truncations which makes every cell in my body pucker up with disgust. But wait...there's even better! Choccies for chocolate, hols for holidays and the one which makes me bite my tongue 'til it bleeds, for pudding -...
lol Guess what? Me too, I "never forget"! But I keep plugging away (or plodding away), anyhow... We're practically neighbours - maybe I'll see you at the Londoners meet-up!
It's funny that you should mention Frankenstein as a candidate for colourisation, for it brings to mind a home movie in colour of Boris Karloff in full costume, mugging for the camera, in-between takes I suppose. Point being, the garish green of the make-up did nothing whatsoever to enhance the...
I could not agree more. After all, a body wouldn't go around changing the colour palette of a painting in a museum, so why colourise a b&w film except under those circumstances that LizzieMaine mentions above? I think there's an assumption that b&w is a technical limitation or a poor...

I'm currently drooling over the above...

Don't even get me started on football kit...
I'm definitely going to be one of those crazy, cranky old people leaving it all to, not the cat, but the dogs! After all, they must be kept in the manner to which they have grown accustomed...
two thumbs up
I have a black jumper which is almost exactly your pattern, and it's one of my standard dance "uniforms" because it is so versatile. I am in that middle age category, and I find it incredibly flattering to the figure. I'm not a great fan of flashing flesh, rather defining the...
Funnily enough, the plastic-bristled paddle brush has improved my hair a lot! I have rather thick hair, and used a detangling comb on it for decades, with the end result of loads of breakage and ripping hair out from the roots from all of the knotting after a wash. It would take me about 15...
Ooh, me too! I just purchased a bristle brush after hearing so many good things about them, and found myself looking like Gene Wilder (Jean Wilder?!) on a bad day! My hair seems to prefer the old plastic bristle paddle brush...[huh]
Same here! I'm very wide across the balls of the feet from lots of yoga and all of the spreading of the toes/balls of feet that comes with that, but even so, many shoes that I look at I just think, "But the shape of the human foot is nothing like that!" Also, I see so many postural issues in...
