Here is a 1947 CZ .25 cal I've had since the 1960s. It's the most concealable pistol I own and it can be slipped under your arch in a dress shoe and walked on if you fear a pat down at the door of some place;) There are a few "baby" autos from days gone by that you can hide anywhere.
Oh yeah, I'm thinking of another Triangle happening later where a Mars was used in search and rescue once. Book's out in the garage and I can't get out there now....
It's becomming the same everywhere- let's wrangle the propertey out of the hands of the rightfull owners under some guise of emminant domain and make a killing with some clapboard condos or some such similar crapola construction.
Let's contact hese guys for help
Hey Dog, sometimes it just helps to just write it all down. When you re-read it sometimes it seems clearer or better.
One thing for sure is that you will be able to find your post one day in the future and see how things have changed as you can't imagine now. Hopefully you'll smile to...
I have never been sports fan with the exception of motor sports but for the most part I simply can't identify watching "ball games" of any kind where literally all of the participants are millionaires. It didn't use to be this way but the absolute greed exhibited from all sides in professional...
What you point out Cowboy is what I meant. Guys in the 30s-40s modified the original cars and engines without doing major swaps as in later times. There was no pulling out the Model A's 4-banger and grafting on a frame to take a Buick straight 8.
Even into the early 60s the average Hot Rod...
As a side line- the Mars was the plane the Navy sent up to search for Flight 19 over the Bermuda Triangle when they were assumed down. It was a notorious gas leaker and the one up looking exploded killing the whole crew lending more to the mystery.
Lincsong a lot in what you mention I agree with. While I am no a hunter or fisherman I do enjoy reading accounts of other people's adventures and certainly think there should be an area that is tolerant to that. In the past 3 years I've been invalided for about 1 full year as I am now enjoy...
Here is an Astra my Grandpa brought back from WW I.
He left it in a drawer till I got hold of it in the 1970s. It functions OK using modern .32ACP ammo. It's not rare or valuable at all.
And those early hot rods were simple modifieds for the time. Most guys would simply take off the heavy fenders of the say 29-34 era cars. Actual performance equipment was scarce then and is more so now. It was usually only a multiple carb intake manifold and perhaps a split exhaust manifold...
Yeah historically a lot of WW II-era aircraft have been used over the years as firefighting aircraft. By now every other one has been retired due to age and uniqueness for which they've been acquired by those wishing to restore them to military status.
Part of the problem has been that...
Lincsong I encourage you to find a pistol with which to punch holes in paper! It is simply fun. Both my adult daughters own pistols and shoot.
For my 2 cents there probably shouldn't be a whole topic heading devoted to outdoor activities covering camping, shooting, fishing, hiking etc...
Any survey they did was probably amongst a bunch of under-25 years olds who are constantly diddling their phone/whatever devices. I'd say if one goes into traditional places or the business world they'd see most men and women still count on wrist watches not only as time pieces but as part of...
I use Mennon Speed Stick 24/7 in the "white" formula. Only the white color products have ingredients like aluminum zirconium that actually work as an antiperspirant for me....and this is important because my one Howard Hughes quirk thingy is that I hate to perspire!
The abandoned cars of the 30s was sure true. When they quit running they set where they stopped or got stuck in barns, sheds or old garages.
The vintage car set have two directions. Today many think ALL old hulks or part of hulks should be restored to 100% showroom stock.
The rodders...
