Dodgette you're a doll!! You remind me of Sherilyn Fenn. I like the bow and your eye shadow... very cute!!! If you ever want to get your ribbons to not shred...use a lighter or match on the ends, and it seals right up! Little tip I learned in crafting!
Whew! I was beginning to think I was cursed with the spray bottles! Well I set my hair last night, and I'll see how much I like the lottabody...if it's good, I may have to try Brooksie's idea with the applicator.. that also reminds me of waving solution and perms.. so it should work well...
hee hee, I have the same problem...my thumb and forefinger have no sensation after rolling with hot sticks. The only thing that can happen is you get used to it and get faster. The same used to happen when I first started using hot rollers, the older ones that used to get outragously hot...
Thanks for the tips! I have tried the windex sprayer.. hee hee..and the warm/hot water, and even trying the same sprayer in water first... (nice mist) then the lotion (stream) then back in water (mist again!) So I thick maybe it has to do with the thickness of the liquid? That's all I can...
Thanks for the advice girls! Brooksie, I really like that idea.. I'll have to pick a new applicator next time I go shopping!
Zaika, I ended up doing what you said. although I mixed it with a bit more water and set it to the finest mist possible, and it came out a somewhat thicker stream...
I've used setting lotion once in my life... and I did it by dipping my comb into a class full of it. Now I have a concotion of Lottabody in a sprayer bottle and it only streams out, it doesn't spray.. or "mist" How do you get an even amount of coverage?? I've tried several sprayers around the...
Lady Day I am so jealous!!
That fan is too neat, in shape and the handles! And I have a thing for pencil sharpeners...something about school supplies, they're like an addiction! ANyhow, this one reminds me of when we were hous hunting in Montana, and nearly every house had a pencil shapener...
Very cute Johanna!!! I can do the same with my bangs, about 3 or 4 days in, I just set them in standing pincurls, two or three, and get ready and when I pull our the clips, one brush through and they just bounce right into place. hee hee! But that only works with my bangs.
Ohairas, I know you have some long long hair.. when I see the back of yours, do you roll down one side and then up the other? Or do you do the sides and then the bottom? just curious! Thanks!
I didn't know that!! Thank you Leaette!!! I know last year when my hubby was in Iraq, it snowed where he was...and I sure wish I could have knit faster, or knit them some caps.. instead I found a great deal at Sears and got a bunch of Carhart knit caps for super cheap! But for my other Marine...
Leaette, I think it's cute!! You're pretty darn close! I'm with you on the symmetrical rolls, I used to always do mine with a side part, and doing them symmetrical almost feels odd. I wonder if when you do the symmetrical rolls you can let some of the top portion curly-Q out like on the...
Ha ha ha..One day!!! I've been told the same thing before. I have yet to translate what I read on the page of the crochet "how to" book onto my crochet hook. For some reason I was able to to make the loops knitting and not crocheting. I try again every winter when I get into my "crafting"...
That sounds beautiful!! It did look rather neat on the catalog.
I see....having them done with a mani is a great idea.. but also, just as an illusion, you could try doing them in a different color, not dark.. a lighter shade, pink maybe. Dark colors will make you nails look shorter...
Thanks Goldleaf! I'm going to work on purling this next time. One day I'll make more than a scarf! My husband got me a few beginner books for knitting and crocheting one Christmas, and it took me awhile, but I figured out how to cast on and knit. I actually finished a couple of scarves. and...
