I wonder about the little stars she puts in her hair....I'd love some for my sisters wedding. I've looked in Accessorize and online but not found any.

The Shirt, love it! 'The girls are flying about' lol
Babydoll, my boyf tells a great story about his best pal as a child. They were at the seaside enjoying an ice cream cone (you know the sloppy Mr Whippy type?) A large gull flew over and pooped all down this kids sleeve, but he thought his...
Silly question, but you're not holding the grips in your mouth whilst you roll or anything are you?
Might be residue of the setting lotion on them?
It's the kind of thing I do...:eusa_doh:
Dolly, I hear you.
At a WW2 railway event a few years back I too suffered a stocking malfunction. I wear one of the old corsets to keep mine up and the clip had 'pinged'
So I shuffled down to the end of the platform where there was some dense shrubbery and hitched my skirt up to retrieve said...
Joyce is lovely! She crocheted me a little green shamrock which I still have in my handbag as I'm Irish and always wear it on St Patricks.
Her snoods are lovely and cheap too!

Drea,
what a lovely girl you sound-I had my son at 23 so can't comment on older mums but all I know is by about 5-6months you really need a sit down and a cup of tea!
I think you'll all cope brilliantly with your helpful attitude.

Hi Dani!
Hot rollers work best on dry hair, preferably hair that hasn't been washed too recently?
Try a blast of L'Oreals hot style spray, it works a treat with hot rollers!
And lets see some pics! Don't be shy!

Just a hint with the Lady Jayne/Sallys wave clips, if you are getting a ridge then you are clipping in the wrong place.
Try and let your hair damp/towel dry-ish and then see which way your hair goes. It is more a question of clipping and supporting the wave, rather than the ridge.
Im terrible...
I have been coveting Dr Haushka in No.4 Colour Mezzoforte Lipstick.
The only thing I don't like is the scent of it which is Rose, I love Rose but don't like it in my lippy!
The truth of it is, most 'average' women (and she was supposed to be of the old money-genteel -poverty) couldn't afford a set every week and on most of my vintage photos the hair (unless for a studio shot) is s little frizzy and unkempt.

Her hair in the tea room scene is dire, by this point it is what late 39 early 40? Wrong wrong wrong. and unflattering and poorly styled.
I love the dress, bought one similar for my skinny friend for £12 at a car boot sale.
But be careful if you have a 'significant other' with the sleep caps. He doesn't want to wake up to this!

I find that re-rolling and pinning then sleeping in a silk scarf works wonders. Also that spray curl activator is great too.
