I have only ordered once from her, it was the sweetheart neckline dress with a cherry pattern. I have to say that I was very dissapointed with the quality of the fabric, it's very thin and cheap looking and so I don't wear the dress often at all. Frankly, I could have made a nicer dress myself...
Another Rivoli - the Rivoli Ballroom, London. I used to live around the corner from this and it used to be a bit of a hidden gem. It's still a ballroom now but is probably more famous as a TV and movie location these days.

I do miss that about London. The flipside, of course, is that someone could bash you all over the head with a baseball bat whilst passing by and no-ne would bat an eyelid either.
That sounds like a wonderful event! Myself and family are off the the East Lancs Railway 40's weekend in Bury, probably the Sunday and possibly Monday too. We are going to check out the Temperance Bar in Ramsbottom whist we are there this year.
Anyone else going?
Klik-Klaks. A recipe for disaster in more ways than one. This toy was two ~2 inch balls of acrylic plastic, anchored together with string and a ring handle in the middle. The idea was to get the balls to bounce off each other at the top and bottom of the stroke more than 2 or 3 times in...
I never had many toys growing up but I did have lots of LEGO. I was obsessed with building houses and cars. I used to spend most of my time drawing, either copying photographs of Lana Turner, etc that the old lady next door used to give me, or designing clothes and super cars that had tons of...

I went to his flat, which was in a...
I had a similar thing happed at a Burlesque show last year. I would have thought it a complement if the guy who said it hadn't been so obviously dead drunk and didn't have his tongue hanging out whilst he said it!
You need a tie press! I got my husband a vintage one a few years ago and it's been invaluable. His is wooden with a fly press top that compresses the wrinkles out cold.
We had a phase in the UK a few years back of old fashioned children's names, that's why we have a rash of Lotties, Lilys, Bethans, Archies, Harrys, Oscars, etc in schools now. The press at the time called them 'Mockney' names!
On a similar subject, I taught a teenager called Oak last year...
For me it's 'Do you realiize?' by The Flaming Lips - makes the hairs stand up on the back of my neck ever time. It's the song I want played at my funeral because it's beautiful and life affirming.

We have Lily and Harry (my mum and dad and still very popular over here) and in the past: Mary, Cornelius, Ellwood and Albert.
