Ah ha!! Very nice! I do love my water waving combs but your's has worked out well with the short ones too. Keep and eye open for water wavers on ebay. -

Thanks LD and Lauren. I will remember the ease advice. I've already fixed some vintage clothes and altered the sizes of some things that didn't fit me using the dress form. I finally got an adjustable sewing dummy this week!! Brand new for $70 out of the community paper. Woohoo! So....now i can get back into sewing again and mend all the vintage stuff I've been meaning to fix and and get some projects started!! So much easier with the dummy!- swinggal

I hate that too. I was always taught to pronounce things properly. I'm from the country originally and my dad is pretty ocker but mum isn't. Shortening things is a funny Aussie/British trait but doing that doesn't make you ocker. Depends how you say it ;) No cossies here in WA...we say bathers...- swinggal

Ladies show us your best.
One of my favourite dresses is my 1930s black satin, bias evening gown. It has amazing metal gold thread flowers embroidered on the sleeves (it's actually a metal thread) and gold fabric stitched into the sleeves as a contrast with gold fabric I have never seen anywhere else.
