Fixing hat size
Felt sizing strips behind the sweat work fine, and they're fairly inexpensive on Amazon. If it's a new hat, it will likely conform a little, and the sweat may shrink with wear. With one of my hats, I left it in my car during a hot summer day and it shrank just enough that I could remove the... -

I think it really may have to do with their business model, and I'm sure the aquisition of K-mart hasn't helped Sears in any way. K-mart should have gone the way of Woolworth's and Jamesway, since the businesses couldn't all compete with Walmart in their market. Sears could have been on...- m0nk

I'm also a 7, and since you noted bigger sizes, you may not find anything in my size, but if you do happen to come across a grey Knox 40 in/about 7, keep me in mind please. :D -
I love the Fed IV!!
Yeah, I'm with you there. Initially I didn't like shorter brims, and I still have the factory width on my brown Fed IV... though with the higher crown style it works with that hat. With my moonstone though, I wanted more of the classic style, and the 2 3/8" seems to fit the lower diamond... -

I went that extra mile last night and trimmed my brim down to 2 3/8" and I'm very happy that I did; it looks perfect now! Will try to post some pics today or tomorrow. -
