I love and appreciate miniatures of all kind. I used to love creating the realism on my old HO train layout more than running it. Great part is that any scene with any content works fine on a diorama.:)
Congratulations! But it does sound like a great idea for a sitcom.
"Fun-loving, fast living bachelor Uncle Charlie moves to England from Malibu where he meets his precocious nephew and neice who insist on calling him Uncle Charles. Of course the social differences and verbiage alone makes...
Are you talking air to air, air to ground, commando teams on the ground destroying aircraft, bombers hitting airfields or factories, what?
The only meaningful scoring was in air to air combat in which Squadron Leader Marmduke Paddle heads the RAF list with 40+ victories. The number is not...
Found a site that contains a lot of Golden Era auto ads, photos, dealer pics.
Oh, the prices!:eusa_doh: http://www.dvrbs.com/camden-cars/CamdenNJ-CarDealers.htm
Yeah that one about the F-4s from the USS Midway was a new one too. They ran it last night. The web site says "new episodes nightly 11PM eastern"
I don't know if that wa all this week or next but it was on at least 2 night this week. At least we know they'll be repeated...:)
Funny, when I picture Gable in my mind he has no hat. I just never perceived him with a hat. Edward G. Robinson and Hunphery Bogart come to mind in hats for me.:eusa_doh:
If you want to go whole hog instead of fantasy retro cells that never existed just get ahold of the origina 5-lb. Motorolas http://80sactual.blogspot.com/2005/05/introducing-first-mobile-phone-dynatac.html The catch is you have to play 1980 all the time.
This upcoming movie tickles my post-apocalyptic interest. Does anyone remember Omega Man with Charleton Heston? Smith has become a pretty stong actor. Wonder is the script is up to it?
Anyone that truly enjoys or follows history of the Old West should go to Deadwood S.D. when the weather gets nice in Spring. http://www.deadwood.org/
Beside the old western buildings the resdiential buildins and houses are quaint and older as well. You don't see 1876 saloons and look up the...
Ah but you see that is the essence of all video games- all but a handfull are worth playing a year later.
I used to revied combat games for combatsim.com and write historical articles for them. I've run scombat simulations since 1988 om my 286 with "Their Finest Hour" and hard on its heels...
And it was all based on what was basically a bet that if the Americans didn't capitulate immediately, as Isoruko Yamamoto stated, " I can run wild in the Pacific for no more than 6 months or a year before the industrial might of America turns the tide."
In 6 months the Japanese would suffer...
By accident I noticed a new episode of Dogfights was on History Channel last night! It was about the P-51 and profiled 3 pilots who flew it. I hope that means there are some more episodes out there that will air.[huh]
Hehehe! Only in the US can you find images of Jesus on a tortilla but not on Christmas related items. In the huge Catholic world I have to wonder what they hell those folks think of us if they knew we had this redundant politically correctness that completely defies common sense. And we call...
Am I missing the thrust of this? What is the perceived problem where to wear the phone or the way the phone looks? Put the danged thing in your pocket. It's smaller-slimer than your wallet. As for any semblance of retro styling I think we're stretching the limits of taste to even imagine...
