Sam, a big congrats! Beautiful name, and a lovely first hat for Iris!
S4C, I can't believe that packing job the seller did on your Worth and Worth! But John really resurrected it nicely!

S4C, I really like the look of the felt and the lines on the conversion. Not to mention, you are owning the whole look!

Thanks for the comments, gentlemen!
Great hats today, all. Loving the Michael Jackson flourish!
Eric, Harv, whatever you guys wear recently has been coming across clean and pristine. You make these hats look like a million bucks!
Charlie, your pics came out blank on my iPhone.....

Back to Pearl Harbor today to visit the Battleship Missouri, which was hit by a kamikaze plane in WWII. There's a WWII Quonset hut snack bar and a life-size statue of Alfred Eisenstaedt's Victory Kiss photo.
I did get two shirts. They were very interesting vintage prints in cotton. One is called "bark cloth," with a subtle fluted texture. I'd never seen an Aloha shirt fabric like this. (And I once spent three hours in Bailey's on Kapahulu Ave.!). Anyway, more info soon!

Later this evening we took a walk after dinner along Kalakaua Avenue. I'm doing the tropical white thing with a Kangol 504 Ventair.

Superb hats over the last days, gentlemen! I'll try to make individual comments later.... Today in Waikiki, I visited Newt's, a high-end shop selling expensive Panamas and vintage-themed Aloha shirts. Here's my Brent Black Optimo and a Newt's shirt.
Shopping with my wife...
Today in Waikiki I visited Newt's at the Royal, a high-grade purveyor of Montecristi Panama hats and Aloha shirts. Here I am in my Brent Optimo and a vintage-themed Aloha from Newt's.

It's a WWII bar, museum, and military tour company.
Here I am with my friend Jerry, another Pearl Harbor fan - we visit every year.
Here I am with the Tomlinson family, owners of this wonderful way to keep the Greatest Generation's memories alive.

Today we went to the Pearl Harbor Commemoration ceremony. There were survivors in attendance from Dec. 7th, 1941.
At 7:48am there was a flyover and a naval salute, in memory of when the attack began.
Tonight I went to an opening celebration at the Home of the Brave Brewseum.
