Back to Pearl Harbor today to visit the Battleship Missouri, which was hit by a kamikaze plane in WWII. There's a WWII Quonset hut snack bar and a life-size statue of Alfred Eisenstaedt's Victory Kiss photo. -

Hawaiian shirts and fedoras
I did get two shirts. They were very interesting vintage prints in cotton. One is called "bark cloth," with a subtle fluted texture. I'd never seen an Aloha shirt fabric like this. (And I once spent three hours in Bailey's on Kapahulu Ave.!). Anyway, more info soon! Sent from my iPhone... -

Today we went to the Pearl Harbor Commemoration ceremony. There were survivors in attendance from Dec. 7th, 1941. At 7:48am there was a flyover and a naval salute, in memory of when the attack began. Tonight I went to an opening celebration at the Home of the Brave Brewseum. -
