It depends on the situation how polite I am, but I always have table manners and try to be as polite and nice as possible. I'm also pretty laid back though, and warmness and friendliness appeal more to me than the occasional "rigid" feeling that comes with adhering to rules *too* much.
I have...
I use MAC Ruby Woo lipstick. It's matte and pretty dry, so I use a bit of Burt's Bees chapstick before I apply my lipstick just so it isn't all rough. Burt's Bees is perfect for that because it's not very glossy or slippery.
Basically, I don't use liner or a lip brush. It's all in the wrist...
I have this problem as well. I wear stockings from Magnolia, and though they are definitely darker than the rest of me, they are cheap, great quality, and aren't so noticeably darker that it looks ridiculous. At least I hope not!
Anyway, Dita von Teese's brand of stockings at Secrets in Lace...
Thanks for all your opinions and experiences ladies!
I'm afraid to tell my parents I want Invisalign because I know they will get so angry that I didn't wear my retainer. I think they want me to suffer the consequences! On the website it said the average is about $5,000, and they have payment...
Don't know if this should go here, but I need some advice on possibly getting Invisalign!
I had braces from ages 10-14 and absolutely HATED it. I never wore my headgear and definitely never wore my retainer afterwards. So it was basically pointless.
Now the teeth inbetween my front teeth and...
I can't stand the girls that are dressed up so lovely, but can't loosen up or smile or laugh. There are definitely rockabilly girls like that, and to be quite honest, it makes it look like they are so uncomfortable and into themselves! That's the one thing that gets my goat about vintage -- the...
I definitely love vintage, but not to the exclusion of other things and types of people.
However, I am constantly surprised when friends say that they didn't think I would like them because I looked "perfect" all the time, or they thought I wouldn't be interested in people who didn't dress...
I'm dying without a Target in the Netherlands. There is H&M, which has quite cute stuff, but not as vast a selection and not nearly as cheap. I'm gonna go crazy at Target when I go back home!
I'm trying your honey trick tonight! Hopefully it will calm the redness. I had a big horrible zit that I popped, but it's still red. It sounds silly, but the next few days are going to be Queen's Day and a vacation, and I want to look good in the pictures!
Cross your fingers for me!
Now that's just crazy! 6 inch heels? I can barely wear 3 inches!
The woman you knew who didn't ovulate -- was she wearing super high heels (I would think 4+ inches qualifies as that) or average high heels? I know heels mess up your feet and alignment, but I had no idea they could affect your...
My mom wears lipstick like that (not matte though), so I know it must exist somewhere!
I was looking at the Benefit site and maybe their lipstick in Skinny Dip or Rocket Pop might work? Their lipsticks are more of a cream or satin finish, but with a little powder you could make it matte.
Hahaha, that's hilarious! If he were 4 or 5, that would maybe be acceptable, as kids that age say the weirdest and bluntest things ever (my boyfriend's 5 year old niece asked me in one sitting both why I was white and why I had a small chest!), but 10? No way!
MissHannah, I completely agree with you.
When I was 12 or 13 I was at the orthodontist's getting my braces tightened. The doctor said to me, out of the blue, "You know, you can get your chin fixed really easily. You and your mom could go to it together, like a mother daughter bonding...
I say go for it! I was incredibly shy for most of my life, pretty much up until college. And according to most people's standards, I'm still quite reserved and quiet until you get to know me.
But this summer I'm going to sign up for beginner lindy lessons, even though I have two left feet and...
Thanks for all the tips ladies! I'm definitely going to try harder to do portion control.
I feel it's pretty much a lost cause to try and lose weight while I'm here! I have about a month and a half until I'm back home, and that's when I'm sure I'll be able to get things under control again...
Man, I have just been so depressed lately about how out of shape I've gotten.
Since moving to Europe my figure has gone up about 2 inches in the bust, waist and hips, and although it's proportional, that doesn't mean my pants still fit! I just feel frumpy and uncomfortable in my clothing...
