Cheers for your interest and comment. :)
Indeed it is pricey, but as far as I can tell, again, this one's of top-notch quality. Although I haven't tried or seen GW yet, at least compared to ELC's The Few is definitely better. Yes it's only very subtle difference mostly in the leather...
SOLD
Up for sale is an A-2 Jacket manufactured by The Few, one of the top-tier A-2 repro makers around the world. The Few is based in NZ, but mostly supplies Japanese market with leather products.
Quality of this jacket leaves practically nothing more to be desired - I'm very sure that...
The scribbles on the bloodchit definitely don't read like Chinese at all.. I'd say it's alien language, issued to those stationed near the Bermuda triangle.
I'm kinda getting to like this sort of findings. Please keep up the good work. :)
The pair in the first pic is, as the filename clearly manifests, Iron Ranger by Redwing. (the filename also indicates the background is a Japanese town called Kumamoto, which is famous for quality horsehide production) Personally I cannot reccomend enough this pair of Iron Ranger, but its ankle...
Wow. That is VERY impressive. :eusa_clap Never seen such a complex yet natural pattern - which even seems as if you stayed squatting in that pair of Flathead for the entire year! :) I'd say that is definitely worth the wait.
Flathead is also part of my consideration, but since I don't know...
Thanks for sharing. Those look nice. I'm eyeing some of the japanese brand repro jeans, but I'm not quite sure enough to place an order without trying them on..
Thanks for the clarification. That was confusing because I heard RMNZ/The FEw is run by a Japanese guy. Then the two RMs have never been related in any manner before? Why using the same company name, I wonder...
I've had two of The Few's A-2s and I quite like the jackets, especially their...
Here's a catalog shot for yet another "BOB" A-2 released by the 'new' RM Japan. This one's got some different details in label and lining material. While it is patterned like parachute canopy, the lining is actually made of cotton HBT. (maybe USMC duck hunter pattern?)
Again, I'm not sure...
That is still confusing [huh] - as far as I know the 'old' Real McCoy's Japan has gone bankrupt a few years ago and the owner (Mr. Okamoto) has been replaced. He then opened his own business under the name Toy's McCoy and is competing with the 'new' RM Japan along with other brands.
Now in...
Here are some more pics of my "Band of Brothers" A-2 jacket reproduced by (old) Real McCoy's - this company has been succeeded by Toy's McCoy, while RM is still in business now under different management.
The jacket was in a very good condition when I got it from the previous owner, with...
Thanks - nope, just the camouflage lining (and w/ Rough Wear AC-23380 'twin label'). I actually got the jacket secondhand so there was no choice in the first place, though the patch version would have been a bit too 'flashy' for me to wear everyday.
Edit : let me post some pics of what the...
Any suggestion? :)
I've also got an A-2 in Seal Brown, which is a classic colour that goes well with any sort of trousers. Still, russet brown looks more 'stylish' to me.
Hello everyone,
New to this amazing forum, I'm posting a pic of myself wearing a replica A-2 as an introductory post. I'm currently into replica A-2 jackets and workboots, and really happy to join this forum.
(Please understand the mosaic cover)
The photo was taken a few weeks ago...
