What cigar (or pipe) did you smoke today?

Nice photo, seems y'all are having a great time. I've only had an Opus or two, and never cared for them, either.

    Any Cigar Afficionados Out There?

Try THAT, now. I'd love nothing better than to stroll Disney with a cigar. Those days are long gone. Same for sitting in my office at work.

    Favorite type of Steak

I was once a filet only man. I've grown up, since, and while I still like a good filet, I've moved on to where a ribeye or strip have supplanted it. Over the last few months our little Friday night group has done sirloins, three will feed the lot of us. I put them on the grill and the first one...

    Pipes

Perique is grown and processed in an area only about 1 square mile or so on the west bank (I believe) of St. James Parish. I think we're down to one farm owned by the Martin family. I can't find the article from a few years ago.

    Any Cigar Afficionados Out There?

What warbird said. It's up to you. Many will leave the cello on if they plan on moving the cigars around some or carrying them somewhere. Many prefer them naked and feel they age better that way. It's entirely up to personal preference, although if you know you have something with a Cameroon...

Remedios were a JR brand during the boom, ten years ago. It has it adherents, but many, MANY detractors. My guess would be "dog rocket." But you never know until you try. If you like it, then, it's a good cigar.

    Pipes

"Inspired by Kaywoodie." My buddy Warbird gave me an old Kaywoodie pipe a couple years ago. It's my favorite pipe. It belonged to his father or uncle who was an officer in WW II. While Lucky Strikes and others got the enlisted through the war, Kaywoodies got the the officers through...

FdO's are getting a touch more expensive since they changed some of their lines. But the bundled FdO's are still in that ball park. One of the best deals in cigardom. http://cumberlandcigar.com/ It's at 101 East Weed St. St. Mary's, Georgia.

If you REALLY need to make room, I can give you my address and I'll dispose of them for you. Betcha JamesPowers'd help, too. ;) Hey, indycop if you ever get up the road, my good friend opened Cumberland Cigar Company on Weed Street in St. Mary's Georgia. He died at 41 in October, but his...

    Any Cigar Afficionados Out There?

JR Cigars are well-noted for shipping their cigars "wet" or over-humidified so that they don't dry out in shipping. This is especially important during the summer months as those trucks can get quite hot and really ruin your cigars as well as allowing the lacioderma beetles' eggs to hatch. If...

    Warning: cigar lovers...

Betty, they knocked that cigar tax down to $3 maximum. But on many cigars, that's still a significant amount of money to pay. The other insidious little thing they wanted to pass was to create an inventory tax. I lost a good friend in October, my own age (41) who owned a shop in St. Mary's...
