    Nice weekends. James, the JR Alternatives aren't really trying to be like the cigars they claim to be. It's all a marketing schtick, even Lew Rothman, president of JR Cigars will admit to it under duress. Of course, if you corner him, he'll start ranting and raving about how most cigar smokers...

    I had an unbanded smoke Saturday evening. I had written what it was on the cap, but I couldn't read my handwriting. Followed that up with a Jos?© L. Piedra Cazador which was nice. It was strong, but good, although it didn't make my head spin, at all.

    Not a bad deal. That part of the MAXX line? Those are getting a bit of buzz. The Medalist and Havana lines by Alec Bradley are also purt' good. Keep a few of those Partagas and bury them deep in the humidor for a few years from now. They should be sublime.

    I like La Aurora as well, their regular La Aurora line is a good cigar, Cameroon wrapper, at a decent price. Their Leon Jimenes is s similar blend but with a Connecticut shade wrapper, very good for new smokers and guys who like mild cigars. La Aurora Preferidos are simply magnificent...
