He has inherited two of mine already. I altered a beat-up Akubra Bushman to a stingy brim and added a brownish ribbon in a style similar to Rorschach's hat in Watchmen, which he wears well. He also has an old wool Bailey of mine. -

Most crushable wool hats that I've seen have the brim edge welted in a way that shapes the brim. It's not easy to reshape these because of this, and if you were trim the brim inside the welted edge the brim will loose all shape ruining the hat altogether. Personally, I believe if you're after... -
