I'm a Fed guy, I have both brown and moonstone. The moonstone I've modified to have an even 2 3/8" brim all the way 'round, with a Bogey style crease and it works well for me, but everyone is different.
I'm with ya there, I'm a size 7 as well and can never seem to find such a gem in my size. I'm not after as wide of a brim; I prefer 2 3/8" or 2 1/2" max, but the Knox Twenty and Forty hats are beautiful.
