In the US a dentist MUST have an MSDS (material safety data sheet) book on file in his office. It tells you all about every chemical or material that he would use. I don't know about other countries.

Anyway, I was going to say don't be afraid to use combs. They hold hair up well and are a cheap fix. I prefer the Goody brand combs because they are plastic and slightly flexible and you can hide them in your hair.
