Here are some pics of the suit that Carlos made for me. I have to apologize because I could not get anyone to take any pics with me in the suit, but this should give you an idea. I can tell you that this is one of the best suits I have ever had and I will definitely have him make me another one...
@carldelo:you are correct. Carlos informed me that the website is new ans is just up and running and he will be adding content. I will post some pics of the dark blue pin stripe suit he made for me. It took me 2 visits, the first for measurements and then the second for final alterations before...
You have a great company, Amanda has been a real pleasure to deal with. I hope this hasnt become too big a distraction that it interferes with what you your main mission is: to make world class jackets.
I disagree, if your GW (I assume Aero Jacket) meets with your aaproval you should definitely sing it's praises! It serves a greater purpose to the company and those like me who are looking for open honest feedback and reviews. That's the whole purpose of this forum. DON'T BE SILENCED!
Butte, I've read your various posts and I can safely say that you are absolutely no ones shill! In fact, I find much of what you say to be honest and informative. Your various posts actually helped me place my recent order with Aero (Amanda who has been FANTASTIC! Wish I could hire her). Don't...
Jimbo, just out of curiosity (especially since I just ordered an Aero, although a different model) what measurements did you provide them? Also, is that a Heavy Front Quarter Horsehide? I understand that they take time to break in, but the jacket does look a bit small.
I have the same bag. It's great but it is heavy when you load it up with a laptop, a notepad, etc...
I also ordered their Classic Briefcase which was like carrying a Boat Anchor, although it is gorgeous.
All their products are well made and as they say will last you a lifetime.
For those that are in NJ (or don't mind shipping) I have found one of the best custom tailors.
As a little background, I spent several months looking for a tailor that would make me a bespoke suit.
I am not new to this process and have never been totally pleased with the outcome...
After much thought, I decided to go with the Allen Edmonds Cordovan Leeds. I tried both shoes (Brooks Brothers & Allen Edmonds) and I was actually much more impressed with the Edmonds Cordovan. It might be because they are made of Horsehide vs. Cow.
Here is a link...
Do you think you can wear these shoes casually?
Sorry I couldnt post a pic, but you can see them on Brooks Brothers website.
Or try here http://thestylecure.com/Peal-Co-Plain-Toe-Blucher-311250727.html
Thanks for any and all opinions.
I have the Oil Rigger. It is a great jacket and it's made of a very good quality goat hide. The only caution I can offer is that this particular jacket is cut a bit small so I would recommend buying a size larger which I did. But note that I don't like tight fitting jackets and wanted to be able...
I looked but couldnt find an answer.
Does anybody know specifically what type of felt the the Akubra Fed IV is Made Of?
Will it hold up in rain?
Sorry if this has been covered.
Thanks,
Dave
Mike,
I was the one who started the other post and I certainly feel your pain. But, as someone on the thread said, any "odd" comments you get are most likely going to come from those you are very close to, and depending upon your personality you can either ignore them or reply in kind.
