    I think I was able to get the car out of gear by luck. The clutch pedal will not depress the clutch when pressed and yes I am able to pull the pedal up quite easily.

    That often happens with stores opening up a new storefront. Instead of sending experienced staff to get everyone up to speed for a month or two after opening, they toss employees into a down and dirty training class and send them on their merry way once the store opens.
