I love to sew so don't mind buying things in need of repair if it isn't too much work. I hardly every buy things new (except for shoes and other things that are hard to find vintage). All of my furniture is vintage and I also use my sheets until they are worn. This makes me the odd duck...
I got this skirt this morning. It is a linen blue pencil skirt with a big white button and metal zipper on the side. I am going to pair it w/ my polka dot blouse.
I picked up these gentlemen's inspired vintage high waisted trousers today at Goodwill. I figured it is still so cold outside I can wear them this week. This is tomorrow's ensamble. :D
Thanks Scotrace! I saw people in sweat pants leaving the church in the morning! I didn't see neither women nor men in hats though. I remember going to chruch when I was younger and all of the women had on the most beautiful hats and that was only 25 or so years ago. Times certainly...
Really! This is great! I am going to have to buy a copy for my sister and her fiance and mail it to them. They live in DC and we are trying to convince them to move back to Boston and they love interesting places to go out to. My sister thinks she has seen all of Boston because she lived...
Side rail all you want gentlemen. I do it all the time. lol
I am actually getting more from this thread due to the derailment. I never knew the history of the martini and actually thought that all of the fruity ones out there were in fact martini's. Now I knew better and am going to order...
All of the men were leafing through the magazine and enjoyed it. The really liked to look at the hats and suits. I got one comments which was that it was a well put together magazine and elegant.
Some of the women liked it and their favorite was the picture of Johnny Depp in a hat. lol...
I agree with Daisy, you both look great (and I did see the GW hounds tooth suit in the other thread that Harry bought that was sharp as well). In fact, I am now inspired and am actually going to head to our local GW that I have never gone to :D ).
It is nice to see your suits for Easter...
These are my two new dresses.
The first one was another BIN. I love BIN's, auctions stress me out too much. :D
The 2nd one is plaid which I have a strange obsession with. It falls into the under $10 club. :eusa_clap
I LOVE the Peanuts!! Snoopy was always my favorite because he was so funny! I can still watch them to this day without getting bored. They don't make cartoons like that anymore.
OK, I am curious now. I can understand how an olive would make a martini taste good but an onion?? Is it overpowering or does it actually enhance it somehow. [huh].
I am so grateful for all of your suggestions. I am going to try a couple of them out at the wedding I have coming up. :D
Pink, I love the color of that!! I have a thing for yellow and pink colored dresses. Just looking at your reminds of the of summer that is coming one of these days!! Great buy and so cute!
skwerl, thanks for the blurb on Pez. Haas was a pure marketing genius coming up w/ the idea for those dispensers. I am sure he had never imagined they would become as hot of a collectible item as they are today.
My sugar addiction was the fabulous cake that had a chocolate cake pie crust...
I have been so bad today. I bought two more dresses. :( I couldn't help myself though. My extended family is in town for a few days and they want me at my mothers 24-7. There is only so much Crazy 8's and Soprano episodes I can take before I snap. Shopping is my therapy and I thought I...
You'd better hope so. I remember when the kids were younger I didn't find an Easter egg until July!! After that I switched to the plastic eggs and put money inside. :D
I will be happy when Easter is over with. I have been w/ my extended family since Friday and want to get back to my...
I totally understand how you feel about not wanting to be bothered by anyone. There are 12 people downstairs and I am up here visiting the FL because I can't take it anymore. I love my family to pieces but can only take them in small doses. ;).
Normally I enjoy being around people, but I...
Foof, that is such a pretty dress and perfect for spring! I wasn't able to wear my spring dress either. I resorted to jeans and a 50's cardigan.
Anyhow, I did wear the hat in my avie as my bonnet and I thought I was going to get a lot of lip from my relatives but they all loved...
