From blah to "oh my gosh... look at him/her!"

Well, I wore faded jeans, white K-Swiss tennis shoes, Billabong/Quiksilver t-shirts, and "designer" hoodies(when it was cooler weather), CONSTANTLY. I mean, everything in my wardrobe was pretty much the same(I had two pairs of K-Swiss, for example) But, I was never emo, goth, or any of that...

    Old fashioned names new again....

I'm going to second Frederick, I don't think I've ever actually met someone with the name, but I like it, and it has many derivatives.

    Old fashioned names new again....

What about Percival? I always thought it was a pretty cool name. Perry, for short.

    Oxford Bags

I think he meant in regards to having an accurate oxford bags reproduction, which I guess he deems almost clownish.

Vintage stingy brims for sale or trade

Actually, that post was meant for both of you, but it was my inbox that was faulty for you, Tony, and I think the "no one under a certain number of posts can PM members" rule just kicked in late for you for some reason, Ken. If any of that makes sense. :p I was going to inquire about the...

Vintage stingy brims for sale or trade

Yeah, I can't send PMs to you either, not to derail your thread Tony, but did you get the Cavanaugh safely, Ken?

    What makes a suit "cheap"?

I've been meaning to ask, are terelene and viscose simply variations of polyester or something else entirely? I know that viscose is a type of rayon fabric, but I'm not sure about terelene.

    Favorite everyday watch

Here is my other daily-wearer, very reminiscent of Paddy's vintage examples, but with a modern twist. Sorry about the yellow hue, I have no idea where that came from:

    Favorite everyday watch

I don't have many vintage watches(other than my '50s Rolex and my el-cheapo Westclox Scotty), but I recently bought a modern Seiko Men's Diver's Automatic Watch (which is SKX007K2). Its not the best watch in the world, and you can tell its a blatent copy of a more expensive Omega watch, but...

    Latest Project: Mycustomtailor Suit!

FINALLY! It has arrived. Much better quality than I was expecting. The rise comes up to my belly-button and it gives it a pretty clean line, which isn't possible with other modern suits. They didn't leave the belt loops off like I asked, but that is the only complaint I have. Expect an...

    My Vintage Car Aquisition Odyssey

Glad to see you had such a good time in North Carolina, though I think your judgement at the time was compromised by euphoric glee. :p Where exactly is his shop at?

    WHAT A BARGAIN!

You know, guys, I'd be willing to pay MSRP+20% for a jacket similar to that. I've got 12 bucks, now who wants to sell me their Aero? :D

    A trend.

Interesting...there aren't any ramifications for flying an outdated flag are there? Flag Etiquette-wise? It just seems that some people might take offense to certain versions of a flag in these days of uber-political correctness (say, Alaskans and Hawaiians won't protest around your house which...

How to Pull Off a Look

Actually, Old Navy has some pretty decent linen shirts, I believe they are a 60/40 Linen/Cotton blend. Can't go wrong when you can get them so cheap, they wear pretty well.

    French cuff shirts

Now THIS is a very interesting shirt: I don't know what it is about it, but I really like the look. I couldn't afford the tie and cufflinks, though, yikes! I guess I'm spoiled, but I can't see myself paying over 130 bucks for just one tie.
