The hat for the Indiana Jones films was a form of branding. Even a shadow of the fedora and whip and people recognise immediately the IJ franchise. Just as people recognise brands such as Coke; Nike; BMW...etc.
But as has been said earlier, the huge following of the IJ films has not created...

I'm keeping an eye out for a ventile jacket for hillwalking & other things like fly fishing (I'm a tweedy outdoor kinda gal I guess!). Barbour in the UK produced a ventile recently and Hilltrek ? There was also an older Brit company in the 80s/90s called Survival Aids and their used jackets...
I have an RL Jacket in khaki that I had tailored to my female form and it goes well with a 30s khaki pith helmet that was produced in India during the British Raj.
