I think that's just the hat folks wear when they're trying to get good reception for their radio.... or not?
Anyway, here's my humble submission. I got from the man known only as... Buler! And I have to say it's one of my favorite lids! Unfortunately boater's aren't very practical for everyday...
Well here's my submission for The Stevens Spotlight!
It's also my very first fedora, originally belonging to my Grandfather. I inherited this in around 1976...maybe 77? It still has pieces of a Christmas ceremony with the words from silent night from our church.
You know I always kind of...
Anyone know when Stevens put ribbons on the back of their fedoras? I have a Pacesetter that I'm thinking is maybe around the 50's or 60's??
Is Stevens a well known name?
So my missus and I were in Milwaukee and found time to stop by The Brass Rooster.
1st let me say that the shop is in one of my old stomping grounds in the Bayview area of Milwaukee. About ten to fifteen years ago this area was really taking a hit and the old Ma and Pa stores were moving out due...
I need to clean a nasty smudge on the front of a brim ribbon.
I looked around and even tried the search, but came up with no luck.
I tried an eraser, some soap and water.... I'm thinking that some lighter fluid might work?

Can you imagine the photography that this guy has probably compiled in order to make this documentary? I mean when you do a search on Prohibition, you tend to get the same images over and over again. So I can't wait to see what new pics he's dug up...
If folks are looking for similar hats, check out River Junction Trade Company out of McGreagor Iowa. They have great stuff and will treat you right! I've bought Wild West gear from them for years!

See! Here he goes again!
That's class! I'll bet those girls will have those hats forever and remember who gave them to em.

Very Sharp!
You know, I have to agree!

That's class in my book!
I honestly can't wait!
All of his documentaries (The Civil War, Baseball, Jazz, and The West) were just incredible!

My Grandfather's baseball glove. I actually still have it right here on my desk. It's a 1962, Roger Maris, Spalding MVP 42-397.
I remember that after my cheap second hand glove ripped out, my Grandmother gave me his. I remember that it was the only thing from home I took with me when I left...
Then there was Henny Youngman..."take my wife...please"
Back around 1988 (maybe that was 86 or 87) I was working as a carpet cutter on Mitchell Street in Milwaukee and the boss came in with Henny Youngman. I was on break eating lunch when they came in. I immediately jumped up (mostly because...
Agreed.
Any where from the fact that Mommy and Daddy didn't love me or give me enough attention, to the people at the office think I'm a nut. Now is my big movie moment and I'm going to show everyone how important I can be.
However it always involves innocent people and those who love them...
If I'm right, this came out right around when Bonnie and Clyde came out, also very anti-establishment. But as far as Billy Jack is concerned it has one of the most famous lines as far as tough-guy one liners goes...
"You know what I think I'm gonna do then... just for the hellovit. I'm gonna...
