I used to subscribe to Be Unlimited, which was the only decent women's magazine I've ever come across (I don't like Vogue, Glamour, Marie-Claire et al) - unfortunately it went bust after 12 months. It was a real shame because it was...
The Crimson Tide Bailey coat is just gorgeous!
I think her prices are very reasonable actually. £475 ($935) is not a lot for a handmade coat. Some of those brocades cost between £50-£75 a metre over here, so if I were to make something like the Bailey coat in say, the forest green...
Wonderful, wonderful images, Matt but what a nightmare. I don't like shopping at the best of times, so those pictures look like utter hell on earth to me! Thank goodness for the interweiser! :D
The man in the dark suit, on the left hand side of the last photo (looking upwards) - is he wearing...
~~ Freshly made crumpets dripping with (veg) margarine and marmite.
~~ (Veg) bangers 'n' mash - the mash has to be very 'buttery' (in a vegan kind of way!). It also has to be piled up in the centre of the plate to form a mound and have the sausages stuck into it. There also has to be a beany...
For me, the notion of a man that can cook is not a novelty at all; most chefs are male after all. Most of my friends are male - they all cook. I taught both of my sons to cook so they wouldn't be dependent upon their women. And the latter, I think, is actually more why we like men that cook -...
As a former teacher and self confessed grammar fascist (!), I think it would be rather nice if people actually learned to use their own language correctly. However, as a freelance proofreader, the fact that they don't means it is good for business!
I have no idea how Ebay's search engines...
Well said - I agree with all the points you've made regarding those photos, which are lovely, BTW. Both ladies are beautiful! :D
I also agree that clothing that fits properly is infinitely preferable to pr?™t a porter or hired. I've always been of the opinion that one should have the best...
Another violin vote - sometimes I just get all goosebumpy when listening. Shostakovitch's Romance (from the Gadfly) does that to me. I'm not sure if it's the pitch or cadence or what it is but as Daisy said, some pieces of violin music evoke such emotional responses. I have quite literally, been...
Lauren I am sooooo thrilled for you! I just know you'll be wardrobe mistress in no time at all! Have you worked in theatre of any kind before? It really is worth all the stress when you see your work on stage! Go you! :D
As ever, Feraud, you are the voice of reason.
Whether he was or was not aware of the fur (and its origins) is possibly not as relevant as the way he dealt with the issue. Whether he did it out of genuine concern for animal welfare, public opinion or as an exercise in good PR is not really...
Ok for a start, this was filmed by people I know. It is not fake. I have a copy of it. I could show it to you if you want. And for another thing, I have seen the way these things have affected chums and acquaintances that have been involved in the investigations - they most certainly do not put...
I had a PDA but always forgot to use it, even when I kept it in the same briefcase pocket as my Filofax! I tend to use pen and paper for notes and the calendar on my mobile for dates...when I remember to transfer them! lol
:eusa_clap :eusa_clap :eusa_clap
Some of that stuff is just great!
I'm probably a bit of a music philistine because I never actually play it just to listen. I tend to go to gigs for that. I generally put music on to do cook to, to get ready to or to sew to. Sometimes if friends come over...
Harry rocks! I went to see him back in '95 - fantastic, although I have to say that I preferred his band's set to his as he was performing stuff mostly from his (then) forthcoming album, Star Turtle. It was good but not as good as his swing and jazz IMO. Have you heard his version of The Bare...
Wow, how stunning do you look? I am so pleased you went with what you wanted and didn't forego it because of tradition etc. Good for you (and kudos to Andykev too)! :eusa_clap Now....where are the pics of your lady? :D
